"Larxene?"

The almost silent word trembled and seemed to boom in the stiff air. Axel knew what had happend even as he slowly pulled the limp body onto his lap. The green orbs softend ever so slightly and he tried to whipe some of the blood off her mouth but only suceeded in smearing it on his fingers.

Larxene was dead.

She deserved it. One voice seemed to say.

She was looking for her heart...was that so wrong?

She went about it the wrong way...

Axel listened numbly to the two voices bickering in his head as he stared down. He was having a difficult time believing that this lifeless doll in his arms had once been...alive? Conscious?

Whatever the word was, it had faded from this shell. Axel felt a twinge and he relized if he had his heart, he would have been crying. Now he could'nt even fake it.

He took a breath and lifted his gaze up to the ceiling.

I'll get my heart back, Larxene. Then I'll be able to cry for you. But until then, just wait for me.

I fully support Axel and Roxas, so no flames for that. >.< But I also think Axel and Larxene have something more mature under the hostility and lust.

Inspiration for this was actuelly a song. Before the Dawn by Evanescence. Very touching, I'd give it a listen if you get the chance.~
